Macbook Pro Late 2013 not turning on

So for the past month now or so i have been having this problem where my mac book would suddenly just refuse to turn on... sorta.

took it into apple said my battery was gone they replaced it got it back was fine for a week then screwed up took it back they reset pram and was all good for another week. Now my computer is basically turning on but screen wont respond it seems the display gets slightly brighter (probably the led's behind the panel turning on) but nothing shows up apple logo on back turns on but nothing. Try to shut lid of the computer but apple logo on the back still stays on when shut. plugging in computer to external thunderbolt display (which i use regularly) works and i get a display however when booting up the apple logo appears with the loading bar, suddenly computer flickers a bit then apple logo disappears and loading bar freezes. gotten it to work a couple of times but then randomly screws up again out of nowhere got it working last night unplugged it out of the monitor and screen on mac book turned off screwing it up once again done pram and smc numerous times safe mode and all that sometimes works most of the time doesn't if i leave it on for a while even if its not responding or doing anything it warms up really bad.

any help will be greatly appreciated would much prefer to fix this myself than go to apple i know computers well so no need to dumb it down cheers.
